ANDREW Collis and Robin Ward, virtuoso musicians with international reputations, will be giving a recorder and triple harp recital at Presteigne's Assembly Rooms on Friday, April 29.

Recorder player Andrew Collis is one of the leading players of his generation. He has performed across the United Kingdom, Australia and the Far East. He plays a wide range of repertoire ranging from early to contemporary music appearing in various ensembles and as a soloist. Andrew has produced two recordings, Exposure and Fusion, both of which highlight the variety of styles and sounds that are possible on the recorder.

Harpist Robin Ward is truly a unique musician, performing on his own hand-crafted instruments, he is one of only a handful of people in the world who play the triple harp professionally. Originally from New Zealand, he predominantly performs as a soloist and is currently based in the UK and has performed throughout Australia, Brazil, Bermuda, Germany, New Zealand and the UK.

As well as playing the harp Robin is also an accomplished instrument maker and harp teacher.
