TAP dancers of all ages and abilities are wanted in Hereford to break a world record.

The city's Starlight Company is hosting the "tapathon" as part of fundraising efforts for Children in Need.

Anyone aged from five can register at the Point4 in Hereford and learn the routine to Happy by Pharrell Williams.

The dancers will then perform the steps on November 16 along with thousands of other tappers across the nation in an attempt to beat a world record and raise money for Children in Need.

Rebecca White, from the Starlight Company, said: "Having people of all ages under one roof tapping away creates such a great atmosphere. It really is quite special. Anyone can get involved. You just need enthusiasm and tap shoes."

Registration, from 11am to 1.30pm on October 5, costs £10. Participants will receive a T-shirt and all proceeds will go to the BBC charity.
