A WICKEDLY fun time will be had by all at the "Halloween on the Green" community event on a Ledbury estate.
It will be the second time that the Prince Rupert Green Community Group has staged a public event, following a highly successful community picnic in August.
That late summer event, on Prince Rupert Green on the New Mills estate, raised £1,300.
The money that will be used by residents to keep the grass on the green neat and tidy.
The group recently received a grant of £600 from the cash-strapped Herefordshire Council, with the proviso that members will take on grass-cutting duties on the green for the next three years.
Group member David Hart said at the time: "We want people to know the green is a community area. It's the kid's play area."
The latest event, on Halloween, Friday October 31, from 3pm to 5pm, is to say thank you to the community with a host of fun activities, in keeping with the time for witches, ghosts and ghouls.
These will include the Lolly Game; Witches Hat Quoits;
Pumpkin Bean Bag Throw;
the Gunge Game; Spider Web Trick or Treat; Apple Bobbing;
Face painting; Paper Plate Decorating and various crafts
with a Halloween theme.
The cost will be £2 per child.
There will be an additional charges for refreshments which will include hot dogs, homemade soup, jelly dessert
and drinks.
A Prince Rupert Green Community Group spokesperson said: "This celebration will be suitable for all ages.
"Come along in your finest Halloween costume and join in the family fun."
