A HEREFORD pub which is currently undergoing a facelift will have longer serving hours when it reopens next month.

The Imperial in Widemarsh Street closed on October 20 and will reopen again next Thursday from 7pm.

It will be open an hour earlier at 8am Monday to Saturday to serve breakfast, and on Friday and Saturday evenings it will be open until 1am instead of midnight.

They are also extending the food serving times from 8am to 10pm from the 9am to 9pm previously.

Stonegate Pub Company, which owns the venue, said it has invested £262,000 into the pub.

Ten new jobs have also been created from the extended opening hours, they said.

General manager Craig Whitehouse said: “The venue is being fully redecorated inside and out and will have a major facelift."

Stonegate has 614 pubs across the UK and employs more than 12,000 people.
