ART students at Fairfield High School were so inspired by the Tower of London's touching poppy installation that they created their own.
The year eight and nine pupils created 145 hand-made ceramic poppies, which are now installed at the school's entrance.
Every poppy represents one man from the Golden Valley who died in the First World War.
Head of art at the school, Kathy Francis, said: "Remembrance Day is always special at Fairfield and because of the centenary this year we wanted to really mark the occasion.
"I visited the poppy installation at the tower in the summer and found it so inspiring, I wanted our students to be part of that experience.
"They have loved doing it and have produced some beautiful work."
The installation at the Tower of London – Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red – saw 888,246 ceramic poppies progressively fill its famous moat over the summer.
Each one represents a British military fatality during the war.
