ANN Wake treasurer of Presteigne Chamber of Trade is the lead organiser for this years annual Christmas Fayre that will take place on December 5 from 3.45pm till late. At the event there will be free parking for the duration of the event and the High Street will be pedestrian only to keep everyone safe, all the shops and eating places will be open late and there will be a street market selling food, drink, bread, cakes, chocolates, biscuits, books, jewellery and more.
The fayre also has a best window competition, raffle with £100 first prize and lots of other great prizes, tombola, guess the teddy's name, best Christmas hat children’s competition, Morris dancers, local groups and children singing, Santa and his elves in the grotto and much more.
There will be a procession at 7pm to escort Santa on his way with lots of blue lights including those provided by Presteigne fire fighters and local police officers.
