FIRE crews were called to a number of collisions on the county's roads over the weekend.

At around 8pm on Friday evening emergency services were called to St Owen's Cross outside The New Inn to a collision between a red Hyundai and a blue Vauxhall Vectra.

Fire crews from Whitchurch and Ross attended, where two people were released.

A man in his 60s with leg and abdominal injuries and a man in his 30s with back and hip injuries were taken to Hereford County Hospital by ambulance.

There were three people injured altogether which were not thought to be life changing or life threatening.

On Saturday on the A44 near to Noakes Farm Riding Centre, Bredenbury at around 9.30am there was a collision between a transit van and a silver Ford Focus.

Fire crews from Bromyard and Leominster attended, where the female driver of the Ford Focus was released by removing the roof.

She had neck pain and received treatment at the scene, before being transferred to Hereford County Hospital.

Yesterday in Whitestone in Hereford there was a three vehicle collision around 8.30pm.

No persons were trapped and crews from Hereford Fire Station made the scene safe.
