A MAN in his twenties was taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a collision in Leintwardine last night.
Emergency services were called to the A4110 in Leintwardine at around 9.30pm where they discovered a car had rolled over following a collision.
A 24-year-old man had reportedly been thrown from the vehicle and sustained a serious head injury and suspected abdominal and pelvic injuries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Ambulance staff stabilised the man’s condition and immobilised him with a neck collar, spinal board and pelvic splint before transferring him to the ambulance.
“The man was taken by ambulance using blue lights and sirens to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and the MERIT doctor met the ambulance en-route to provide further emergency treatment to the man for the remainder of the journey to A&E.”
A second patient from the car was said to be ‘walking wounded’ and suffered minor injuries.
The patient was assessed on scene before being taken to Hereford County Hospital as a precaution.
