WE announced on our website, herefordtimes.com, how Herefordshire Council said relocating the city’s Edgar Street football stadium, the former home of Hereford United FC, may be "a long-term option".
The idea was revealed in documents ahead of this week’s cabinet meeting and readers in our online poll were almost equally split on whether they would support football being moved away from its traditional city home.
A total of 1,233 people took part in the vote and 49 per cent said they would support a move – but it was a narrow majority as 47 per cent disagreed with the idea and said they would not back it.
The remaining four per cent of voters were undecided.
