HEREFORDSHIRE Greens will join hundreds of members from all over the country in Liverpool at the party's national conference this weekend.

It takes place in Liverpool from Mardch 6 to March 9 and more than 1,000 delegates are expected at the last major conference before the general election in May.

Green Party members from North Herefordshire attending the conference will include prospective parliamentary candidate Daisy Blench and Leominster councillors Felicity Norman and Jenny Bartlett.

The conference will give all delegates a chance to explore and fully engage with the party's six campaign themes.

North Herefordshire's Green Partyl parliamentary candidate, Daisy Blench, said: "We look forward to meeting up with fellow candidates and other delegates at this conference, and debating many issues of major importance today both nationally and locally.

“These key themes reflect the concerns of the public in general. Our membership has quadrupled locally and we are determined to improve the quality of life for everyone living and working in Herefordshire.

"We are calling for high quality accessible, publicly owned and accountable health care facilities, for much improved public transport, for the Living Wage and for an end to cuts in public services. Green politics means doing things that improve the quality of life for everyone and we want everyone to be aware of what we are proposing.”
