THE deadline is approaching to submit entries in this year's Leominster Festival writing competition.
With the theme 'Lurid Leominster', the festival is set to celebrate the town's colourful past between May 30 and June 7.
And writers, young and old, are being invited to take part in this year's writing competition under the same theme.
It is open to three age categories, under 11s, 11 to 16s and over 16s.
Those taking part in the prose fiction part of the competition can write up to 500 words while those entering the poetry contest are invited to submit a maximum of eight lines.
Any layout is accepted providing it is legible.
A £25 prize is on offer for winning entries and the closing date is April 24.
