A HEREFORD school has been given a £5,000 grant to develop its 'character education' policy.
Aylestone Business & Enterprise College (ABEC) in Broadlands Lane has been given the money by Birmingham University’s Jubilee Centre.
Character education has been a major focus of Department for Education policy and hopes to ensure that more children develop a set of character traits, attributes and behaviours that underpin success in education and work.
ABEC has been at the forefront of character education since it became a key topic in education - and was re-designated a Values Mark school in 2014. Values-based education is an approach to teaching that works with values.
