A NOT-for-profit housing group has transformed an under-used community area into a resource centre to help people develop their careers.
The Herefordshire Housing Group has opened The Learning Box at Brierley Court in Turner Street, Hereford.
The group said the centre will promote total wellbeing and offer community access to digital resources and training to help people develop their career, and the opportunity to take part in personal and social development activities.
The service will be open to the groups’ customers and the public through drop-in sessions.
Andy Robertson, social development team leader at Herefordshire Housing said; “Through our extensive work with individuals at our Job Club, held at Hinton Community Centre, we had identified clear skills gaps and we wanted to really help individuals tackle these issues."
A range of programmes and courses will be launched in the coming weeks.
The Herefordshire Housing Group is a not-for-profit group which provides home and support services to people across Herefordshire and the surrounding counties.
