MEMBERS of Leominster's twinning association celebrated traditional cuisine from their twin town ahead of a visit next month.
The Leominster Saverne Twinning Association held a ‘tarte flambe’ lunch at the home of their treasurer, Sue Baker.
A tarte flambé is a traditional dish from the Alsace region of France and was cooked in a special tarte flambé oven – a gift from Saverne to Leominster several years ago.
The association is preparing for a formal four-day visit of 32 twinners from Saverne to Leominster on June 4.
In July there will also be a visit from 65 members of the Saverne Town Orchestra who will be performing at a concert in Leominster Priory on Saturday July 4.
