THE Llanfair Waterdine Arts and Landscapes Festival was a great success and is likely to have raised well over £1000 for St Mary‘s church and other charities. During the weekend there was art from many local artists on display in the Everest Hall.
In the church there were displays of book art, floral arrangements and a history of houses in the area who’s names are on the end of the pews in the church. There was also tractor and trailer rides, refreshments and plant sales. On the Saturday there was a guided summer walk around the Llanfair Waterdine Turbary looking at upland birds and wild flowers. Saturday evening concluded with a young peoples concert in St Mary’s church. On Sunday even more people arrived for the event and the weekend was concluded with a concert in the church by the Llanfair Singers.
