Hereford chip shop granted 4.30am weekend licence
A CHIP shop in Hereford has broken new ground today by becoming the first takeaway in Hereford city centre to serve hot food past 1.30am.
The Golden Galleon on Commercial Road has received permission from a Herefordshire Council committee to open until 4.30am on Friday and Saturday nights, and on Sundays before a Bank Holiday Monday, and 3am on all other nights.
A Herefordshire Council licensing committee gave the idea the thumbs-up during a meeting at Hereford Shirehall earlier.
