A CHILDREN'S respite centre closed since Wednesday will re-open today.
Staff sickness caused the sudden temporary closure of No. 1 Ledbury Road 48 hours ago when parents were asked to come and pick their children up.
The facility, which provides respite care to youngsters with complex health needs, has been earmarked for permanent closure next year in favour of a community foster service.
Wye Valley NHS Trust confirmed this morning that No 1 Ledbury Road will re-open later.
"The Trust made the decision to temporarily close the centre due to staff sickness at short notice on Wednesday this week," said the Trust in a statement.
"Families with children at the centre have been advised and the facility will open later today."
