A MAN has this morning been arrested on suspicion of murdering Hereford dad Christian Bagley.

The 30-year-old man is currently in police custody.

Meanwhile, West Mercia Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with Christian's death, which happened on Father's Day - June 21 - last year.

Christian,30, was stabbed in the arm and back as he walked under Hunderton Bridge in Hereford on his way home from visiting his daughter.

Detective Chief Inspector Leighton Harding said: "The individual in the image was seen in the area the day before Christian was killed and as of yet we have been unable to identify him.

"We ask anyone who may know the identity of the man to come forward.

"Similarly if you recognise yourself in the image please get in touch as you could hold key information to help us to find out what happened to Christian on the day he died.

"The man in the images has been described as white and speaks with an Eastern European accent.

"He was seen on the river towpath and entered the Costcutter on Belmont Road just after 11:30pm on Saturday 20th June 2015.

"He is thought to be in his mid-twenties and was seen wearing an Adidas cap, a dark jacket with a light coloured motif on the front left side, light coloured tracksuit style trousers and trainers with blue laces."

Anyone with information can contact police on the non-emergency 101 number quoting the incident reference 717s of 21st June, or the incident room on 0800 056 0944.
