A NORTH Herefordshire beauty queen is a step closer to clinching the Miss Junior Teen Great Britain crown.

Erin White, 15, from Shobdon, has made the competition's final and will represent Herefordshire in the event in October.

As part of her journey, Erin is fundraising for Together for Short Lives – a children's hospice charity – and has set herself a target of £1,500 by October.

To help her raise this she will be holding a charity stall at the Shobdon Food and Flying Festival on June 25 and 26 as well as at the Leominster Medieval Pageant on June 18 and 19.

She will also be hosting a charity fashion show in August called Shobdon's Got Style.

The Wigmore High School pupil also hopes to hold a cake stall and other activities at school to add to her total while supporting other fundraising and local events throughout the summer.
