PRIME Lambs - 2445: 2445 new seasons - a good entry sold to a vastly improved trade resulting in an SQQ of 189p/kg, however those good meated types would be in excess of 190p/kg all day. Meat is imperative to a good trade! The top 20 prices were all in excess of 199p/kg topping at 206p/kg for a pen of 37.5kg. Those leaner types would be 10p/kg behind the SQQ. The lightweights up to 35kg were a terrific trade averaging 196p/kg and whilst the Festival is on we envisage this holding. All weights in better demand with a top price of £95/head achieved. Please be advised that one lean lamb in a pen will spoil the trade on the rest of the pen.
