EXPERTS will be on hand to explain the differences between creatures great and small at Queenswood Country Park.

The Queenswood team are putting on a day of activities on Saturday, July 9 which will be open to all as part of a Bioblitz - a 24 hour wildlife recording event.

Starting with Mammal Mania at 7.30am with mammal expert Dave Smith, activities are to run throughout the day and will be led by staff from Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and a host of expert local naturalists.

Also taking place will be a reptile hunt, a buzzy bees tour and a tremendous tree trail which will explore fascinating facts while contributing to the number of species recorded.

All activities will be tailored to their audience so young or old, expert or complete beginner, there will be something for everyone. Sessions all start at base camp which will be set up by the main buildings.

Alongside the activities, staff and volunteers from Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, Herefordshire Amphibian and Reptile Team and Herefordshire Mammal Group will be on hand all day while WildPlay will be running children’s activities too.

No pre-booking is required and the event is free.
