Store Cattle - 198: All cattle to a keen demand topping at £1195 for a Limousin cross steer, 18 months at 540kg, closely followed at £1155 for a bunch of 5 Hereford cross steers, 14/15 months.
Smart keeping steers regularly £970 to £1140, being 220p-238p/kg. Smaller cattle all wanted, steers £650 to £880.
Heifers sold to £1095 for British Blue cross at 24 months, the pick of eight suitable for bulling.
Others all from £1030 to £1090.
Other strong heifers £905 to £1070.
Younger farming heifers from £570 to £840.
Native bred all sold well with a draft of Angus steers, 14/15 months ranging from £890 to £1000.
Beef type cows/heifers in or with calves - 15: 15 beef type cows/heifers all with spring born calf sold to £1720 being the choice of a draft of 7 British Blue cross second calvers with Limousin calf.
Others from £1240 to £1700.
A few older Hereford cross cows with calf sold from £900 to £1060.
Just the one stock bull - an 8 year old pure Blonde, he sold at £970.
Barren/feeding cows - 20: 20 barren cows topped at £1065 for a well fleshed 710kg Limousin farm assured being 150p/kg.
Other well meated cows from £815 to £1060 (120p-147p/kg).
Plainer sorts being 105p-114p/kg, with others from £170 to £470.
