ON a lovely late summer's afternoon 30 plus members and friends of the Cottage Garden Society enjoyed a visit to the Old Rectory at Thruxton.
This four acre garden with spectacular views over Herefordshire has been in existence since 2007.
This constantly changing plantsman's garden with unusual perennials, shrubs and roses complements the surrounding countryside.
Members finished with a delicious tea in happy and tranquil surroundings.
The next meeting is on Saturday at 2pm in Walford Village Hall. The speaker is Christine Skelmersdale, MD of Broadleigh Gardens which specialises in bulbs and her talk will be entitled A Year Round Bulb Garden.
Please visit the website cgssh.org.uk for more information and a gallery of photos from the visit. New members and visitors to meetings are always made welcome.
