THREE Herefordshire rugby club members have been growing their hair for months to save lives.
At the start of lockdown, March 2020, boss of manufacturing company Forbes Group Ltd Christian Graville, decided to avoid home hair cuts after seeing what happened when clippers were let loose on the family dog.
Initially he decided to grow his hair until the first home game at Luctonian's Rugby Club but this took longer than expected.
Some18 months later his hair growing has been at the centre of many jokes.
This spurred Luctonian well-known player Ben McGowan and club volunteer Ian Lawrence, better known as "Knocker", to raising money for Prostate Cancer.
On Saturday (September 25) all three will be braving the scissors after the home game at Luctonian's Rugby Club.
Jenny and Jilly, from J'adore in Draper's Lane, Leominster, have very kindly offered to be pitch side with their scissors at the ready to transform Mr Graville back to his normal self, and on Knocker and Ben.
This all coincides with a Blue Day at Luctonians where the whole club will be raising money for prostate cancer.
If you want to help this charity day donations can be made via justgiving.
