It is all part of a huge project to upgrade the SAS camp in Credenhill. Two new high-voltage cables will be installed from the Hereford North primary substation to the camp.

This is to enable the Credenhill base to adopt low-carbon technologies, such as solar panels and heat pumps, to meet net-zero ambitions.

National Grid started the project in July, with work being carried out near the camp on the A480. It has then slowly filtered onto Roman Road, with the latest work set to continue further down the road.
