HOTEL owner Alfie Best needs to do his best and act on the legitimate feelings of Bromyard’s residents (Fears as heritage buildings decay, March 7).

The Hop Pole Hotel in Bromyard is an eyesore and may be rat infested. Its dilapidation is adversely affecting the sale and lease of neighbouring properties.

At Christmas, the beautiful tree and lights were marred by the state of the Hop Pole.

The danger is that the building deteriorates to the point that demolition would have to be enforced for safety reasons.
