A TEENAGE boy punched his victim in the face at a McDonald’s in Hereford, causing grievous bodily harm.
The incident took place at one of the city’s McDonald’s restaurants on May 2 last year, prosecutor Lauren Millichip told the court. The victim was struck in the face four times by the boy.
The assault caused grievous bodily harm but was said to be committed without intent.
The teenage attacker, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is a 16-year-old boy from a Herefordshire town.
He appeared at Hereford Magistrates’ Court on March 26, supported by his mother and represented by defence solicitor Ed Middleton.
He pleaded guilty to one count of wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

The boy was referred to a youth offender panel for three months and must attend meetings for six months. His mother is not required to attend the meetings, and the court did not deem a parenting order necessary in this case.
His mother has been ordered to pay her son’s victim compensation of £100.
The defendant has been ordered not to contact his victim in any way, with a restraining order issued by the court.
