AN ATTACKER from Hereford has been up before the magistrates after assaulting a man.
Leigh Bourne entered a guilty plea to one count of assault by beating when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester last month.
The court heard from prosecutor Jolene Parnell that the 54-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Belinda Ariss of Lister Brady, had assaulted a man in an incident in Worcester on October 13 last year.

Magistrates fined him £461 but did not award compensation to the victim because they said that this could "aggravate the situation between the parties".
A discount on the fine was applied because of Bourne's guilty plea, magistrates said when coming to their decision on sentencing.
Bourne, of Kings Acre Road, Hereford, was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £184, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
