FLOOD defences in Hereford are expected to be finished next month.
The Environmental Agency has announced that work should be completed by mid-June.
The wall along Hinton Road and the embankment joining it to the swimming pool have been completed, along with the wall beneath and alongside Greyfriars Bridge.
Forthcoming jobs include re-erecting the Memorial Gates opposite Hinton Avenue.
While the Greyfriars Bridge element is complete, there is strengthening work required to a wall, which is due to start soon.
The EA will apply finishing detail to walls, paths and grassed areas as they are completed.
