Hereford is making steady progress towards completing its 15 “Stronger Towns” projects to rejuvenate the city, part-funded by £22 million of government cash.

But with less than a year until the grant spending deadline of next March, which are over the line and which are still some way off?

1. New Museum and Art Gallery

The most ambitious of the of the 15 and biggest by budget will transform the city’s former central library and museum in Broad Street into a key visitor attraction for the city, complete with rooftop garden and viewing platform.

A heritage lottery grant of £1.5 million has also just been confirmed, on top of the £5 million Stronger Towns funding at the £8 million pledged by Herefordshire Council.
