I was on my way to the post office in town last Thursday and was shocked to see a large black bag about two feet tall padlocked to a bench outside Bonmarche and no obvious owner close by.

The bag was obviously full of something. In view of the fact Hereford is the home of the SAS, and the recent atrocities in Belgium could happen anywhere why was nobody taking any notice. I searched for a policeman to suggest it might need to be investigated but they are a rare breed unless there is a football match on. Obviously the bag was harmless but it could easily not have been.
