Bill Wiggin asserts the putative benefits of Norway and Switzerland being outside the EU(readers' times, March 31). Again I have to remind him that both these countries have to abide by EU regulations, have to contribute to the EU budget and allow freedom of movement.
It is a matter of judgement what funding will be available for farmers.
A post-Brexit government will be under severe pressure: The pound is projected to fall; FDI will dry up; Tax revenues will diminish; Wales and Scotland will seek independence; Ireland will be in meltdown. The farming community will have to suffer with the rest of us.
