Through your columns may I ask someone who engages in the practice why, when out in the countryside they collect their cans, bottles etc into a plastic carrier bag, neatly tie it up and then deposit the lot at the side of the footpath or car park?
I ask having picked up two bags of such rubbish in the environs of the National Trust car park near Breinton church.
Don't they have a bin at home? The fact they do not want it does not mean that our countryside wants does.
