So the starting gun has been fired on the general election, now in less than six weeks' time. It would be a brave soul who would bet against Herefordshire's two Conservative incumbents, particularly given the party's trend-bucking fortunes locally in county elections just a year ago.
Yet the large majorities of Sir Bill Wiggin and Jesse Norman are likely to be assailed from all sides - from a resurgent Labour, from a concentrated challenge from the Greens in the north of the county, from a locally strong LibDem party in the south, and from the unknown quantity that is Reform UK.
It's likely to be an engrossing contest, whose twists and turns we look forward to covering.
Till next time,

Herefordshire's election: who is standing, who can win
|
Herefordshire is split neatly into two parliamentary constituencies – North Herefordshire, which includes the market towns of Kington, Bromyard, Leominster and Ledbury; and Hereford & South Herefordshire, which includes Ross-on-Wye.
