HEREFORD Roller Girls' Horror Bulls team are heading off to the finals of Europe's biggest flat track roller derby tournament at Newark Showground on Sunday .

The Horror Bulls topped the North-West division of the Heartland series and go into the finals undefeated in 2014.

They were the first team to be declared finalists across all four divisions.

Their first game is against South-West division runners-up, Plymouth City Roller Derby.

If they win that, they will play either Severn Roller Torrent or Milton Keynes Roller Derby.

The winner goes through to the final so, potentially, the Bulls will play three games in one day.

Visit www.heartlandseries.co.uk for more information and to buy tickets.

The Heartland finals will not be the only trophy the Hereford Roller Derby club will be chasing during the next week.

After being named Community Club of the Year at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Sports Awards, Hereford Roller Girls are finalists in the West Midlands Community Sports Awards at Aston Villa Football Club next Thursday.

The club will celebrate a fantastic year with their end of season party at Hereford City Sports Club on Saturday, November 29.

The party will be a fundraiser for the Bulls' trip to France in January when they are the only UK team invited to compete in Roller Derby Caen's 'Slip It! 2' tournament.

Tickets to the party are £5 and include food and a quiz. Full details at herefordrollergirls.co.uk.
