BURGHILL & Tillington and Colwall both enjoyed good wins in the latest round of Worcestershire County League Division One games.

Burghill saw off Belbroughton, while Colwall came through their match against Bewdley.

It was Burghill's bowlers who were key to their success as they skittled out their opponents for just 107.

Stefan Hook led the way with three wickets, while Barney Morgan also finished with fine figures of 2-9.

It was then left to Ed Symonds to lead the attack with the bat, with his 44 helping Burghill comfortably reach their total with the loss of only two wickets and 21 overs to spare.

Colwall also enjoyed an excellent win against higher-graded opponents in the league table, mainly thanks to a fine century from Ben Wheeler.

The wicketkeeper hit 19 boundaries in his 112 runs as Colwall got to their target with over five overs left.

The wickets were shared around for Colwall as they restricted Bewdley to 216-9, with Jon Gooch (2-35) being the pick of the bowlers.

It was a bad day at the office for Bromyard though, who were thumped by 103 runs by Redditch.

Will Yarnold snapped up four wickets for the Herefordshire side, but it was their batting that let them down, with only Dinusha Fernando (27), Greg Leighton (21) and Edward Reece (21) getting into double figures.

Wormelow are going along nicely in Division Two with Lee Watkins' 87 helping them to a 79-run success against Enville.

Watkins was also useful with the bat as he snapped up three wickets that saw Enville dismissed for 189.

Elliott Williams also had a fine game for Wormelow as made 57 with the bat as well as taking two wickets for just nine runs.

Another county side who had a good day were Bartestree & Lugwardine, who enjoyed a 166-run thrashing at home to Alveley.

Michael Spink led the way with 61, while Wilf Munn (55) and David Robinson (46) also contributed with the bat.

Luke Sparrow was then the pick of the bowlers as his four wicket-haul helped his team bowl out Alveley for 101.

In the same division, Ross-on-Wye almost upset the odds by beating leaders Alvechurch & Hopwood.

Sam Woods and Mark Preece both snapped up four wickets each which restricted Alvechurch to 196.

Opener Ben Lander then led the Ross attack with a fine 69, but despite being 128-4, Ross lost their last six wickets for just 61 runs which saw them fall just short.
