ENGLAND assistant coach Adam Bendall believes his side have sent out a message to their rivals after comfortably advancing to the semi-finals of the IBSA Blind Football European Championships.

The hosts won their opening three games and will face Turkey tonight in their final group game.

If England win the group, they will play at 3pm on Friday at thePoint4, with a 5.30pm game occurring if they finish runner-up.

European Championship holders Spain have topped Group B, with either France or Russia finishing second.

"We will take whoever comes our way," said Bendall.

"Spain have got a knack of knowing how to win games, but we have played them five times in the last 18 months and we haven't lost.

"We don't fear anyone and you have to beat all the teams if you're going to win it."

If England make Saturday's final, they will automatically qualify for next year's Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.

"That is a little incentive for us, but we're taking one game at a time," said Bendall.

"The people of Hereford though have been fantastic though and ever since I have been involved in blind football have always supported it.

"The atmosphere on Tuesday against Germany was unbelievable."

Robin Williams was again on the mark for England against Germany and is the tournament's joint leading goalscorer with six goals alongside Turkey's Emrah Ocal.

Roy Turnham was also on target against Germany and has three goals so far.

Dan English and Keryn Seal have also scored this week, something which Bendall is delighted with.

"Traditionally in blind football you have one attacker who gets all the goals but we have had four different scorers so far," said Bendall.

"That's really pleasing and sends a message out that we have got other people who can score other than Robin and Roy."

England opened the tournament with a 7-0 thrashing against Poland last Saturday.

Turnham opened the scoring before Dan English converted a penalty to double the advantage before half-time.

Two quick-fire goals from Williams effectively sealed the game at the start of the second half.

English then grabbed his second goal of the match before Williams completed his hat-trick.

Captain Seal then added a seventh to complete the rout.

England then thrashed Italy 4-0 in their next match on Sunday.

Fabrizio D'Alessandro inadvertently put the ball into his own net to put England in front, but despite numerous chances, England could not score a second goal before half-time.

But Williams soon got on the scoresheet in the second half with two goals, with Turnham completing the win.

Against Germany, Turnham scored the goal of the tournament when he took the ball from the corner and went past three defenders before drilling his shot home.

Williams then added a second thanks to another fine goal and were able to see out the game in the second half.

Second place in Group A is up for grabs, with either Turkey or Germany joining England in the semi-finals.
