A FORMER Hereford Rugby Club player insists the job is only half done for Wasps after his side comfortably navigated their way through to tomorrow night's Singa Premiership Rugby 7s finals.

Thompson, who studied at the Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School, was skipper on the night at the Ricoh Arena that saw Wade go over for seven tries to help Wasps see off Harlequins, Saracens and Northampton Saints and ensure a safe passage to Twickenham Stoop.

"We're absolutely ecstatic and I'm obviously very proud of all the boys," said Thompson.

"We knew it was going to be tough, as every team here is full of young lads wanting to go out and play with nothing to lose.

"We're extremely happy now but we know this is only half the job, and we've got to turn up on Friday and do it all again.

"We're really excited for it now, and confident too after this result, but look at Gloucester who've won it the last two years.

"They looked really good in their event, so we won't get complacent.

"We will work hard again in training this week and do again what we've done for this tournament.”
