HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle says "it's not about revenge" when his side try and overturn their last defeat against Coleshill Town tomorrow.

The Bulls crashed to a 5-4 defeat at Edgar Street against the Warwickshire side in August – but have not lost a game since.

"It seems a long time ago, but it's still fresh in the memory," said Beadle.

"On the night, we played exceptionally well, it was just a strange, bizarre game.

"But, like we talked about against Stourport the other week, it's not a revenge mission, it's just another game on the fixture list and the next game that we want to get a result in.

"It will be good to catch up with them again because they were lovely people and their team worked extremely hard on that night and we've got to perform exceptionally well there to get a result and that is what we will try and do."

The defeat was Hereford's third in their opening six games and they drew their next match 0-0 against city rivals Westfields.

But, it has been a completely different story since.

A 7-2 demolition of Heanor Town – who were top of the Midland Football League Premier Division at the time – has been followed by 18 consecutive wins in all competitions.

The run has included an astonishing 68 goals for and just seven against, with John Mills netting 24 of them.

Bulls defender Jimmy Oates said it is an incredible run.

“Back in Australia, my youth team had a similar run and pretty much went unbeaten through the season, but it was much shorter in that we only had about 20 games," said Oates.

“So if we can kick on and keep this going, it will be unreal."

Oates added it will be great if Hereford can win for the 20th consecutive time against Coleshill.

“It’s a good team to do it against, we owe them one for sure, but I think we have come on leaps and bounds since and have improved massively," he said.

“Hopefully, we can punish them.”

Coleshill play on a 3G pitch, but Beadle said his players are used to that surface due to them training on one at Hartpury College.

"We should be quite accustomed to it," said Beadle.

"I think it's going to be quite flat and the game could be quite fast."

Hereford – who have rearranged their postponed HFA County Challenge Cup quarter-final tie against Bromyard Town for next Saturday – have been drawn at home to fellow Midland Football League Premier Division side Brocton in the third round of the FA Vase.

Beadle said that, although delighted that it is a home tie, it won't be an easy game.

"We have already played them once so we know what they are about and, to be fair, they played well," he said.

"We have had three good games in the Vase so far and this will be the second one at home.

"We played Bardon Hill, who we didn't know anything about at the time, then Rocester, whom we knew a bit about because we had already played them.

"We have already played Brocton away, so we know what to expect, so we will prepare in the right way and will try and get the right result like we always do."

Beadle added that there are no plans to add to his squad following the departure of centre-back Nathan Summers.

"There is plenty of cover, but if there are any good players out there that we think can add to what we have already got then we will have a look.

"I have a difficult job in keeping everyone happy because no one wants to sit on the bench and see everything happening around them.

"But Adam [Page] and Tony [Robbins[ can't play in the Vase so we are down to 17 players then and if we have injuries or suspensions, it's down further.

"It's a competitive squad though and we do have cover if everyone is fit.

"But very rarely do you go throughout a season without having a couple of injuries."

Meanwhile, Hereford's Boxing Day clash against Westfields at Edgar Street has been made all-ticket.
