HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle says he has resigned himself to the fact that Mustapha Bundu and Sirdic Grant will not be at the club next season.

Both players have played key roles at various times this campaign, resulting in the Bulls being crowned Midland Football League Premier Division champions at a memorable night at Coventry Sphinx on Monday.

But both cannot play higher than step five in the non-league pyramid due to the terms set on their student visas.

"We can always look into it, but we've known from day one that , if we went up a level, it will be almost impossible that we can keep them," admitted Beadle.

"Of course we will still look into it, but the way the rules are at the moment, I can't see them changing it, which will obviously be a travesty for them.

"They've become part of our group and they've played a big part in it."

Hereford – who will be presented with the league trophy at Edgar Street tonight – are likely to go into Southern Football League Division One South & West next season and could face derby matches against Evesham United and Bishops Cleeve.

Salisbury, who the Bulls beat in the FA Vase semi-finals will also be in the division following promotion from the Wessex League.

Beadle says the club have already been looking at players that may strengthen the team, especially as there won't be much of a post-season break before the players are back in for training.

Bulls chairman Jon Hale, meanwhile, says the club will still be run in a sustainable manner despite being crowned champions in their maiden season.

"We're going to try and push the club on as quickly as possible, but we're going to do it in a sustainable manner," he said.

"We're not going to push the boat out at all costs, we're going to do it properly.

"We've done it properly this season and we're champions because of it."

Hereford can still win the quadruple, with the FA Vase, Midland League Cup and HFA County Challenge Cup firmly in their sets.

The Bulls take a 1-0 lead against Stourport Swifts going into tonight's League Cup semi-final second leg, before the HFA County Challenge Cup final against Westfields takes place at Edgar Street on Bank Holiday Monday.

"It will be silly for us now to take our foot off the pedal and it's important for us to finish strongly," added Beadle.

"We've won the league, but we want to make sure that these players develop their game and learn that, once you've become successful, you become hungry for more success."
