ROSS Rugby Club completed their Gloucester 2 campaign with a 26-17 win over Broad Plain to secure fourth spot in the division.
As the quarter came to a close, a Ross win seemed unlikely after Broad Brian scores two quick tries.
But once the Greytree side managed to get their hands on the ball, their running game began to show and they were quickly on the scoreboard.
Thai Hayward went over to score their first try thanks to some good build-up play; Aaron Ryder adding the extras.
And as the half-time whistle loomed, Ross added another score when Ryder converted Billy Hambling's excellent try.
Broad Plain continued to cause Ross problems in the third quarter, but the home side managed to extend their lead to 19-10 when Hayward went over.
Ryder then converted Casey Morgan's try before Broad Plain added seven more points.
Tomorrow night, Ross have away game at Drybrook 2nds in the Forest of Dean Combination Final; kick-off is 6.30pm.
