HEREFORD FC striker Mike Symons says it doesn't matter who scores as long as the Bulls are winning.

Symons opened the scoring for Hereford in a 4-0 win over Bishops Cleeve on Monday and is one of four strikers at Edgar Street along with John Mills, Pablo Haysham and Jamie Cuss.

"Mills is going to get you goals and if it drops in the box, that is the man you want it to drop to because you know he's either going to put it in the back of the net or force a save.

"Pabs deserved his goal, I think his work rate and performances in recent weeks deserved a goal and Cussy, when he comes on, provides a threat as well.

"I know Pabs is playing on the left, but we can all potentially chip in with goals.

"But as long as the team is winning, we're happy."

Hereford are already five points clear of Southern Football League Division One South & West and have won all of their opening six league games.

Symons was pleased with another goof team performance on Monday.

"I thought in the first half we had large spells of possession and their keeper has pulled off one or two great saves," he said.

"It was a good ball from Edgy [Jamie Edge] – he chipped it at the back stick and literally all I had to do was touch it in.

"It was good to get that goal and then, in the second half, we were able to dictate from the kick off and were able to get another three goals.

"I thought it was a great performance and another positive result.

"We could have probably scored a couple more goals but it is a very convincing win in the end.

"We've just got to try and take that forward into the next game and hopefully get another performance and result."

Symons opened the scoring a minute before half time when he headed home Jamie Edge's cross.

Two quick-fire goals from Mills within the first 10 minutes of the second half effectively won the game for Hereford, with Pablo Haysham adding some gloss with an excellent fourth in the 64th minute.
